George was a WW2 veteran and a very proud member of the Royal Regiment of Canada. He was a Master Plumber and Gas Fitter. He was skilled in many aspects of the building trade supervising the building of hospitals and commercial buildings for English and Mould all over Ontario from Dunnville to Marathon.

George loved Country and Western music and got great enjoyment playing his harmonica in front of small audiences. Never one to sit still, George enjoyed endless hours woodworking and in his spare time he enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling to new vacation spots. His home for the last 11 years has been at Leacock Retirement Lodge where he spent many hours enjoying one of his greatest past times of playing pool. As a proud veteran George always cherished the hours he spent with the members of the Orillia Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Always independent, kind and generous George endeared himself to so many people making friends where ever he went. He will be missed by everyone.

In keeping with George’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life for George on Monday July 20 from 11AM to 2PM at the Orillia Legion Branch 34 located at 215 Mississauga St East Orillia Ontario. The Legion ceremony will begin at 11:30AM.
